To date there has been no "script" that any of us has used as it is just sort of being human and getting to know people and having a conversation as you would anyone else you would talk to. (ie. Hi. How are you? What's going on?, etc. ). Be interested in them. It varies on the niche and situation.
The purpose of Call#1 is: TRIAGE (15 min - 1 hour)
- determine what their problem is
- determine if you might be able to help potentially
- determine if YOU want to have a "second date"
The only requirement of Call#1 is:
- To book call #2 BEFORE you hang up from Call #1 if you want a "second date" ... that's it.
CONTEXT IS IMPORTANT > (Thus no script to date.)
So Call #1 can be a casual health history or a casual conversation. Depends how you got them on the call. If it was a FB ad vs. your mom's cousin that thought you might be able to help them vs. they asked you a question in a fb group and you said - "Great question. Let's hop on a call" ... you are going to handle that call differently.
ie. FB ad - I say "Hi (name). How'd you hear about me and what compelled you to book the time?"
ie. Referral. - Hi (name). So (other name) thought we should connect. So what's been going on with you? Tell me your story?"
ie. Question - Hi (name). Great to meet you. Great question. So let me ask you ... how long have you had …
or any number of infinite possibilities.
It can be a health history. But sometimes it is not appropriate to be so "clinical" and sometimes it is.
Here is a link to a “Personal Health Analysis” that I used to use that I did in “Google Forms” https://forms.gle/nwkoBVLRwEzoPpVH7
that you can fill out for yourself if you like for examples of questions. You don’t have to ask all and sometimes as I say, a more casual conversation is more appropriate.
But generally you will say:
Hi
So what had you book this time today? ( Let them talk.)
Then specific relevant questions to your niche. For example:
So how long have you had ....... ?
What is it like for you?
What is your #1 challenge with respect to problem?
What makes it better?
What makes it worse?
What is your food like?
What is your sleep?
What is your energy like?
What is your weight like? Would you like it to be more or less? How much?
Do you have bloating? What makes it better? What makes it worse?
How much is stress a factor in your life? What is the main cause?
Any other health conditions?
Do you exercise? How often? Would you like it to be different?
Who all are you responsible for?
What is the health of your family like?
What is the number one thing you are concerned about?
What is that you are most looking to create for yourself?
etc/ etc.
Anything that is relevant about the situation.
Often “TELL ME MORE ABOUT THAT” is a good prompt to get more details.
You can use a health history form to ask your questions or just have a conversation.
At the end, say:
Okay. We’re almost out of time and I wanted to do a couple more things before I forget. Are you on FB? Let’s make sure we connect there. (spell and get right one while on phone and friend) I have a free FB group you are welcome to join. ” (Invite/add them to group right there while talking to them.)
"I''ve really enjoyed our conversation (name) and I would love to book another time with you where we could dive even deeper into (...problem) now that I have this base to work from and we can get even more clear about - knowing where you are now ... and what you are looking for ... what your best next options might be to get you relief. (Sometimes there is something or someone (doctor or coach) I can recommend or sometimes you are right on track and just keep doing what you’re doing and sometimes there is something that I have that might help. But happy to talk with you one more time. What does your calendar look like? Does “Thursday at 1 pm” look good for you?"
- Booking the appointment is the only thing you have to do. Ideally book a zoom for call #2 so you can record that one.
- Ideally FB friend them and even put in your free group if not there already while on call NUMBER 1.
