None of this takes a long time. But for many it is unfamiliar. This can sometimes trigger fear (F.alse E.vidence A.ppearing R.eal) which although unfounded can still trigger overwhelm in some.
The feeling of overwhelm does not get less with your 'absence' or 'inaction', it gets bigger. π¬ Learning to drive a car was overwhelming the first day. But avoiding it and putting it off, doesn't make the overwhelm go away, it gets bigger. But getting in the driver's seat and driving and moving forward has that overwhelm go away in no time! πππ₯³
