Dr Shaunna shares her answer below, as well as in the recording of the weekly Awakened Healers call, starting at 1:07:00.

The truth is you all have your unique style and niche and what worked for you ... and is working for you - to deliver excellent results is the most important part.

More than one right answer.

Most will start by:

1. Checking in with how people did with last week's topic. What is working "well"?

- then the client will complain about what isn't working. LOL.
- the coach will redirect and soothe to positive and offer suggestions or ask further questions like:
"tell me more about that" or
"why do you think you ate the whole bag of oreos?" or
"why do you think you didn't do the deep breathing, we practiced?"
"what is something you might do differently next time?"

You could even use my 3 questions to review their week and have them focus positive:

1. What went well?
2. How could you make it even better?
3. What would you do differently next week?
Β
- Definitely acknowledge and celebrate their wins! πŸ’œ (They are not usually good at this)

2. Cover the few bullet points for that module/ step in the first 15 - 45 minutes- depending on your niche/ personality/ client/ step/time. If you have modules that they are to watch in advance then you can just ask how they did/ questions or about the homework. But at the beginning and before you have modules, just teach the key points of the next step. (es. why drink water, tips to do so ... or what sugar is/does, where it hides and what to replace it with, etc.)

3. Then give the baby action steps for that module/step
Β
ie. drink x water. Walk this many steps. etc.

4. Confirm the appointment time for next time.
Answer any questions.

>>>> It can actually be very client led ... but still follow your structured path.

When I coached, sometimes #1 would take the whole time as they shared what was going on in their life and most of our discussion was there andΒ  then I could wrap it up with ... a quick action step. "Ok. This week eat greens. Here's some kale." LOL.

Other times - things were fine and #1 would be quick and we'd spend more time giving tips or explaining the action steps and customizing it to work for them. ie. mapping out a new drive home for them so they don't do their default zip through the drive thru on their way home from work.

Others are welcome to share what they do ... and we can come up with another "best practices" from our collective experience.
