Q: What Do I Put For The 90 Sec Story Portion of My Brochure?
Here is an example someone wrote in with and was wanting feedback on and our responses below it:
Example:

Our Feedback:
Typically with a personal story you want to follow the following format:
1. Name the problem first (Explain the dilemma or problem...what were you experiencing)
2. Name the things you tried
3. Talk about the turning point
4. Describe the dream come true
5. Name the call to action
Typically a longer version of this would go on say the homepage of a main website for you but for your brochure, something short and sweet that follows this same format would work well.
So yours could look something like....(and I just made some stuff up...like the ten year thing...I don't remember how long ago it was for you....so obviously you would want to edit this to be accurate and reflective of your actual feelings/experience but this should give you an idea of the direction to go in):
Personal Story:
I know what it's like to struggle with anxiety because I've been there. 10 years ago I spent most of my days battling debilitating panic attacks. I tried ..... you fill in the blank here....just one or two sentences.... It took a good deal of time, effort, and money to finally crack the code and eliminate panic attacks for good. Now that anxiety is a thing of the past, I feel like I actually have my life back! I am able to enjoy physical and social activities again, I have a much more positive outlook, and I feel more joyful and grateful for my life.
Armed with experience, knowledge, and personal growth, I now help...put your power statement here.
At our live retreat in Kelowna I taught our six figure health coaches the "45 second story" which is an abbreviated version of the "90 second story" that is on their websites.
Here are some slides from our live retreat that provides a different visual framework for this, if that is helpful. People have different learning styles so sometimes these visuals can be helpful. (You can also ask on weekly calls too. )
