Let's say you are going from having one person in your VIP Back End Program to two...
It depends a little bit on the two people that you have. They don’t have to be alike at all, but they just have to be remotely compatible on some level and you can almost always find common ground.
But it is a little bit easier to switch to weekly group now when there is just two and It feels like a bonus for them
…. then the next person that joins you can just say we have weekly group.
As far as the one on one calls, Definitely eventually you want to make it quarterly. But in the beginning when there’s just a few people you could make it monthly.
I did have some six-figure health coaches do monthly and I didn’t know about it… And that was definitely leading them to burn out. They had a lot of people.
Our business plan in my mind… If you have 40 clients… That is just one hour a week. But in their reality, they were doing 40 hours a month in addition to their front end clients. So you can see how that can quickly get out of hand.
Instead, What I would do is weekly group…
And then perhaps each month do a special 1:1 day …
We did that Last year with our front clients because I wanted to make sure that they were on track and To get to know their niche, etc. So we did a” Virtual retreat” For people who were Finishing phase 1 before they started phase 2. And then the next day on a Friday, I did a one on one back to back with everybody and they picked their time For their 30 minute slot. And we had specific things that we were covering at that time. Because during the group call weekly, we can talk about whatever they want to talk about.
I’m not saying to do that necessarily…
But what I’m saying is if you choose to do monthly one on ones… To avoid burnout- Have it as part of a special monthly kick off or wrap up. Do a morning where you talk about the food of the month or quarter. The activity of the month or quarter. And you could do that in the morning. And then in the afternoon, you could do 15 minute -45 min 1:1 calls back to back … When the others are taking a little break.
This also can get tiring and old, But it is at least more scalable. You don’t have to do one on ones at all. But if there is a reason why you think that would be very important for their Success then do it.
But at the cornerstone of a backend program is a weekly group call and an annual live retreat.
Now we have also added quarterly, virtual retreats… Which is also a great way to serve a lot of people in a small amount of time. If you only have one person, it can be a VIP day.
I really like quarterly- There are new things to talk about each season.
Monthly is challenging. Because you’re always preparing for the next one or trying to recover from the last one. But When I did monthly, I tied it into the same day as the graduation day. So I would do a graduation for One class. And on the same day, I would do one on ones for another class. So in my schedule that day was a write off anyways.
…. So for this one for you right now , I might be tempted to add in biweekly group calls because that is the direction we’re going to anyways and you could because there’s only two do one on one every other week.
Then when the next person (3rd) goes in, you’re going to double up, the biweekly calls to be weekly group calls. The first two people can keep their biweekly one on one., The third person could get a special monthly one on one.
The fourth person, You Could do the weekly group calls And then add quarterly virtual events and an annual live event. And maybe at the quarterly virtual event included in that is some one on one time with each of them. Another thing to do is like hot seat rounds, where each person gets to have a focus during that time.
So each person wins., You are always adding more and never taking anything away. But the more that you are adding is always something that is more scalable not less.
Then, as you have 30 people, it is weekly group calls that are even more valuable given the size of the community. And then also quarterly virtual retreats - Again with the benefit of the community., And a live annual event.
This allows, you to scale up without burnout and prevents you from sneaking in things that will not be sustainable.
