Steps to Troubleshoot Unsuccessful Email or SMS Communications

Identifying the Issue

  1. Look for Warning Icons: Notice the red or caution symbol indicating a communication wasn't delivered.

  2. Hover Over Icon: Hovering over the icon will display the reason why the system thinks the email or SMS didn't go through.

Attempting to Resend

  1. Try Resending: Click the resend button. If it works, no further action is needed.

Manual Resend for Automated Messages

  1. Copy Content & Send Manually: If the message was automated, try to copy its content and send it manually to the recipient in the communications section. If it works, no further action is needed.

Contacting Support

  1. Copy Error Message & Contact Support: If the issue persists, copy the error message to provide to Coach Builder Pro support. Use the chat support feature to seek assistance from Coach Builder Pro Support.

Recipient's Email Provider

  1. Understand Email Providers' Filters: Understand that different email providers have various spam filters which might block unknown email addresses or emails with certain phrases or content.

  2. Consider Email Content: Reflect on whether the content of your email might trigger these filters. However, this can be hard to predict because each email provider has its own set of filters in place.

Verifying Recipient's Email Address

  1. Check Contact Information: Click on the contact name or icon to open the individual contacts section. Ensure the email address is valid and active. If invalid, update it accordingly (if possible).

  1. Email Deliverability: Most emails should send without issues. But understand that it is normal for the occasional email to not send successfully. Use these steps above to help when needed.

  2. Warm Up New Sending Domain: There should be a dedicated sending domain set up in your account to improve email deliverability. When your account is first set up with a dedicated sending domain, gradually increase email volume over a couple of weeks to warm up the new sending domain. Most of you won't have to worry about this but avoid sending out hundreds or thousands of emails a day without warming up the sending domain.
