Hi,
I just want to lead by saying that I think you are an amazing, genuine, and special human being and because of that I want the absolute best for you.
What I do know is that you have benefitted a lot from being in this Program.
You have lost about 15lbs and that has been predominantly fat loss as your body composition has changed completely.
You have rehabilitated your knee injury
You avoided going into a depression following a pretty serious life change
You won your competition
You are more confident
You have made significant changes in your diet which has altered your cravings
You have taken control of your finances
You have future goals and/or planning
You have improved your sleep and hydration habits
You use meditation (visualization) and breathing techniques
You have reduced your smoking
You're less angry
You have direction and belief in yourself
You have a consistent routine and know what steps to take when you fall off course
You have tried a lot of new foods
You have had really important conversations
You've gotten a raise
You are in a position at work that you enjoy
You're more happy and outgoing and in enjoyment of your life
That's just to name a few.
Now, it takes at least 1 year of consistent and dedicated focus to switch an identity, shift a mindset, and rewire your neuro-circuitry to become the best version of you as your new default pattern.
Currently, you are right in the midway point of your 12 month program and if we stop now the chances of you reverting back to those old habits that were not serving you, is very likely. So now is not the time to quit or pause. I know you don't want to go back to old eating habits, putting on weight, and increasing your fat percentage and everything else that follows from there. I certainly don't want that for you either.
An important thing to note, is that because you ARE at the midway point you are experiencing something that is completely normal and to be expected. There are even several names for it - Seth Godin's "the dip," Dr Disepenza's "breaking the habit of being you,", Gay Hendrick's "upper limiting" and Bob Proctor's Terror Barrier: watch.
You have really come a long way and now is definitely not the time to quit or pause. It's very likely that reaching this point and deciding to take a break, is a habit you have had in the past. But not this time, because right now you are at the point of making a BIG BREAKTHROUGH. The point of crossing over to unchartered territory, that will be a MASSIVE SHIFT in your life, your being, and how you experience your world.
I am 100% committed to getting you the absolute best results possible and I won't let anything get in the way of that, I promise you that.
So let's continue. I will share with you some ideas that I have moving forward to simplify, so that there's no confusion and so that you feel that you are in the driver's seat and have some breathing room but still on a path moving forward to your dreams.
See you next week for our session on Zoom and we will chart a path that will work for you.
